Do I need to file a game report?

Game reports are integrated into ZebraWeb, and are required in ANY of the following circumstances:

1.  Misconduct Yellow or Red Card(s); OR

2. Late Start; OR

3. Extra Fifth Period in a Modified Game

Note that there is only ONE report per game, and it covers all three possibilities. 

Who is responsible for filing a report? 

The referee listed as "Official 1" in ZebraWeb is responsible for seeing that the game report is filed as soon as possible immediately following the game. Unlike the reporting in past years, only ONE official submits a game report and MUST get and submit ALL the relevant information for any card issued by either referee on the game. Once submitted, a report may be viewed, but may not be edited by either official.

1. Make sure that you are in the Boys or Girls Portal schedule for your game on the Website. THIS DOES NOT WORK IN THE CROSS-PORTAL SCHEDULE VIEW OR IN THE APP.

2. If the Report button is red, the report has not yet been filed; click on it to file the report.  
     If the Report button is green, the report has already been filed, click on it to view the report.

3. Once you open up the game report, the late start or extra fifth period information is at the top; fill it out if needed. In the lower right, click on the Add Caution / Ejection  button if you have yellow or red cards to report.  ALL cards issued in the game should be reported. 

4. Complete the required information. For the "Person" field, you must choose either "Player" or "Coach" (Do NOT choose "Parent" - under NFHS rules, referees may issue cards ONLY to players, coaches, substitutes and bench personnel listed on the roster). You must also select the type of card issued (yellow or red), and the card reason. DO NOT LEAVE THESE FIELDS BLANK. Misconducts are listed in the order they are presented in the 2026 rule book.

In the comments include a brief factual description of the incident. Use only the language of the current NFHS rules; do not any other rules or systems.  If your card reason is "Unsporting Behavior" or "Denying an Obvious Goal Scoring Opportunity (DOGSO)" the comments should also include one of the 15 specific unsporting conducts listed in 12-5-1g or the one of the four specific DOGSO reasons listed in 12-6-1b, as appropriate. 

5. IF you have a red card / ejection for a 2nd caution, you must enter 1 card for each caution and a 3rd card for the ejection. 

6. Add as many cards as you need to. 

7. CHECK YOUR WORK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU SUBMIT. Once you submit the report, there is no opportunity to edit or change it. You may not take back a card once issued; however, you should email BOCES (Dan Belfi  and Jesse Merchant  and the WPASOA President (Jolis Gjoka) if you need to correct a case of mistaken identity. 

8. It is strongly suggested that you view the submitted report (see #2), and use your browser's print function to either print a hard copy or .pdf copy for your records (and for sharing with your partner). 

9. You must email WPASOA President (Jolis Gjoka) if your report includes a red card / ejection.
